How to build an evening phone routine

Pick a wind-down time and let it run on its own. A scheduled Evening Focus Zone shields your distracting apps from, say, 9:30 PM until morning. Calls, alarms and the apps you mark as essential keep working.

A simple evening routine

  • Choose a start time 60–90 minutes before you want to sleep.
  • Schedule an Evening Focus Zone in FocusPass for that time.
  • Mark essentials (phone, messages from family, alarms) so they stay open.
  • Plan one replacement: reading, a walk, tomorrow's to-do list.
  • Charge the phone away from the bed if you can.

If you need to check something

Depending on your Zone rules, you can still use a short Pass, or wait until the Zone ends. Either way, the choice is yours to make on purpose.

Common questions

How do I stop scrolling in bed?

Schedule protection for your evening hours so social and video apps are shielded before bed. Keep a non-screen alternative within reach.

Will my alarm still work?

Yes. FocusPass only shields the apps you choose. The Clock app, alarms and calls aren't affected unless you select them yourself.
